Today is me and Jeff’s 3 year wedding anniversary. I can’t even begin to explain how much has happened in those 3 years. In some ways it seems that we should definitely have been married for much longer than that! Let’s recap:
Year 1: Our first year included a move from Cleveland, Ohio to Austin, TX. I began a rigorous 1 year Master’s degree program at UT, so we pretty much never saw each other, and we bought our first home.
Year 2: I graduated with my Master’s degree, we became licensed foster parents, and we brought into our home our first 2 children. The 2 sweetest boys in the world.
Year 3: We said goodbye to our first 2 kiddos, took a vacation to Colorado to decompress, and brought in our next 3 kiddos, 3 beautiful girls! We also found out we would be welcoming a sweet baby boy in November!
Needless to say, it has been a roller coaster over here the Griswold house. But let me say this. I wouldn’t choose a different partner for the ride. Jeff, you are a rock. You have been supportive, steady, compassionate, real, and true over these past 3 years. You have grown as a husband, leader, and father and I look forward to seeing what crazy adventures year 4 will have. Other than the whole birth of our son thing, of course. =)
